Katharine's teaching stems from her research into orchestral interaction, gesture and cognition. She has taught into the linguistics program at the University of Melbourne 'tutoring' (large group sessions which support the lectures) and guest lecturing for undergraduate programs and assessing at postgraduate level. She has also guest lectured at the Faculty of Music, University of Cambridge.
